Our Fees
Fees from April 2025-March 2026
Standard clinical rate
Individual child, adult or familyPer clinical hour (50 minute session)
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing£85 per 50-minute session / £127.50 per 75-minute session
EMDR can be offered as a standard 50-minute session, or as an extended 75-minute session. There are advantages to the extended sessions: regular sessions of 75 minutes enable swifter completion of the trauma processing element and support a greater focus on nervous system regulation and the attachment focus of the work. We will discuss your preferences and the affordability of each option during your initial consultation.
Bespoke Family assessment and recommendations package
Sometimes we don’t know what’s wrong, we just know that something is wrong. And being able to better understand and name what’s happening, is reassuring. A good assessment helps us understand more about the nature of a problem: what’s stuck, what’s keeping us stuck and how to move forward. We can support you to better understand your child’s development, family relationships and the most likely routes into positive change through an in-depth psychological assessment.
This is usually offered as a 4-6 session model, with a summary report included – which can often be used to contribute to other support needed e.g. EHCP plans, neurodevelopmental assessments etc. If you think an assessment of your child and family might be helpful, please discuss this with us during your initial consultation.
Reports and letters
We are sometimes asked to contribute to EHCP processes or provide evidence to support the process of neurodevelopmental assessment. Depending on the level of work required, standalone letters or reports usually take between 1-3 hours to complete and are charged at our standard clinical rate. Actual costs will be discussed and agreed with you prior to undertaking this work.

Our fees explained
We believe that psychotherapy is an investment: in yourself, your well-being and your future. The work we do together does not just address immediate concerns, but also fosters long-term growth, healing, and resilience in a world that often overlooks the importance of mental health. Psychotherapy is not just a service, but a transformative process that can help you build a more fulfilling life. Our specialised focus on attachment and trauma means that we approach each individual or family with a depth of knowledge and experience that is comprehensive and leads to meaningful change. Many people come to us having tried other forms of therapy which have not quite worked. We do things differently and see real change as a result.
We recognise that our fees may feel high for some and appreciate the financial consideration involved in choosing to work with us. Our fees represent an attempt to balance affordability with the level of expertise and specialised care provided – which is exceptional, consistent and reliable.
We’re also committed to social justice principles and as a not-for-profit organisation, our future goal is to be able to offer subsidised therapy for those who would not otherwise be able to afford it. So, in choosing to pay for therapy at LCAT, you are not only investing in yourself or your family but are actively contributing to social change too.
