Em Inman

I am a Highly Specialist Art Psychotherapist with significant additional psychotherapy training, and I am dedicated to supporting individuals and families across the lifespan in healing from adversity in their lives, complex trauma and attachment-related difficulties. Ove the last decade I have developed an ability to integrate creative, body-based, and evidence-based approaches with depth and flexibility, ensuring each therapeutic journey meets the unique needs of every client.

Known for my honest, relational, and collaborative approach, I offer a therapeutic space where safety, curiosity, and connection can flourish. I am committed to reimagining therapy in ways that develop resilience, strengthen relationships, and support lasting, meaningful change.

With over a decade of front-line clinical and leadership experience across NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), NHS Specialist Adult Mental Health, and Adoption, Fostering and Kinship Support, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities within mental health care and social care services. My leadership approach reflects a deep commitment to building collaboration, driving innovation, and enhancing service delivery in these fields.

Skills and training

My core clinical training was at the Northern Programme for Art Psychotherapy, completing a three-year training in 2016. Due to my areas of specialism, I’ve also trained in a wide range of additional trauma and attachment focussed therapies which are integrated into my therapeutic approach. I hope to contribute to research in this area through LCAT.

Together with Cat, I will continue to develop the service and look forward to welcoming other skilled therapists into the team in future.
