Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist

Neurodivergence Othering

About Irfan

I am a BACP-registered integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, with experience working across both third sector and private therapy services. My professional background includes roles within neurodivergent-affirming and LGBTQ+-focused organisations. Alongside my clinical work, I currently manage a counselling service within the third sector, where I lead a small team of therapists in delivering accessible and effective mental health support. I also maintain a small caseload of long-term clients, supporting them to explore trauma and understand how past experiences continue to shape their day-to-day lives.

As an Autistic and ADHD therapist, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience to my work with neurodivergent clients. I support individuals to deepen their understanding of neurodivergence, reduce masking and overwhelm, challenge internalised ableism, and gently process neurodivergence-related trauma in a compassionate and affirming way.

Skills and Training

I hold a degree in Counselling and Mental Health, alongside Master’s qualifications in Integrative Counselling and Psychology. I have continued my professional development through further training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy and neurodivergence-informed practice. I am committed to providing thoughtful, effective therapy, grounded in a strong foundation of knowledge, ongoing learning, and clinical experience.
