About Dominic
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of psychological approaches rather than working from a single model. This allows me to tailor our work together to your individual needs, recognising the uniqueness of your experiences, background and ways of relating to yourself and others. I work collaboratively, building a therapeutic relationship in which we can explore your past, present and future in a way that feels manageable and supportive.
My work is informed by attachment theory, recognising how our early relationships can shape patterns in how we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us. Bringing awareness to these patterns can support greater understanding, self-compassion and the possibility for change within relationships.
I am also trained in EMDR, an evidence-based approach that supports the processing of trauma and distressing life experiences. I work sensitively and at your pace when addressing trauma, with a focus on creating safety and stability within the therapeutic space.
I have a depth of understanding gained through extensive training and professional experience, including working as a psychotherapist in the NHS within a psychological therapies team. My approach is grounded in empathy, professionalism and respect.
