About Sally
I am a Family Therapist and Systemic Psychotherapist with many years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I have worked most of my career in the NHS in both community and inpatient Child and Adolescent mental health services (CAMHS). Currently I work in NHS adult services.
Through training and working in different roles I’ve developed a broad range of skills to support families and relationships. I enjoy working collaboratively and thinking carefully together with families about what feels most important to talk about, and any changes they might be wanting to make in relationships.
My background is in social work, and a lot of my work as both a social worker and family therapist has been with children/young people in care, their families and carers, and adoptive families. This work has given me a strong understanding of experiences of trauma and loss, and attachment.
Skills and Training
I qualified as a family therapist and systemic psychotherapist in 2013, and as a systemic supervisor in 2019. Since then, I’ve continued accessing training relating to different aspects of family and couple work, and supervision. Before I trained as a family therapist I worked as a social worker.
